Safe Transportation for Youth
Long, unsafe daily journeys prevent many kids in remote villages from attending school. We fund safe, reliable community transport options so students can get to class regularly and securely.
A compassionate society cares for all living beings. In Sri Lanka, hundreds of thousands of street animals navigate harsh conditions daily—enduring hunger, untreated injuries, preventable diseases, and human neglect. Through our dedicated Animal Welfare division, Support Sri Lanka Foundation works tirelessly to reduce suffering and foster harmony between communities and street animals.
Our Core Animal Protection Programs
Emergency Veterinary Rescue: We operate a direct-response network that rescues street dogs and cats suffering from traffic accidents, severe infections, or abuse. We fund immediate veterinary care, surgeries, and rehabilitation until the animal is healthy.
Humane Population Control (Spay/Neuter/Vaccinate): Endless litters lead to suffering. We fund regular Spay, Neuter, and Vaccinate (SNV) drives in rural and urban areas. By humanely managing the stray population and vaccinating against rabies, we protect both animals and human health.
Daily Street Feeding Initiatives: In areas where food sources are scarce, our team supports local caregivers with bulk pet food, ensuring packs of street animals receive regular, nutritious meals.
Shelter Support & Foster Care: We partner with local rescue advocates to improve shelter facilities, fund medical supplies, and promote adoption over purchasing pets.
Creating Lasting Coexistence
Our work extends beyond emergency rescues to public education. We teach local communities, especially young school children, about rabies awareness, animal care, and the importance of treating all creatures with kindness.
