We Care Sri Lanka
Partner Charity for the distribution of aid in Sri Lanka. Founded in February 2000, 'We Care Sri Lanka' is a voluntary organisation launched by a handful of persons from a broad ethnic spectrum committed to providing a comprehensive response to the plight of underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. "We are primarily focused on children affected by the armed conflict but we do respond to the needs of other children whenever it is brought to our notice," said Mrs. Manel Anandan, vice president of 'We Care Sri Lanka'.. "Being committed to the belief that every child has equal rights we will not discriminate based on ethnicity or religion."
We have been approached by Wood Green Animal Shelter who are sending out volunteers to help the Home and Abroad Animal Welfare charity in Sri Lanka. The work both charities do is quite incredible and we are pleased to support and promote both charities. Please visit their websites and donate if you can. Better still if visiting Sri Lanka go and say hello, they are based in Negombo and pledge your support. www.haaaw.org and www.woodgreen.org.uk/home.asp
